Allie Larkin’s STAY, pitched as in the tradition of Emily Giffin and Claire Cook, the story of a woman whose relationship with a loveable Slovakian German Shepherd helps her recover from heartbreak after the love of her life marries her best friend, to Erika Imranyi at Dutton, in a pre-empt, for publication in 2010, by Rebecca Strauss at McIntosh & Otis.

Yeah, that’s me. That’s my book. And I feel like the luckiest girl in the whole wide world right now, for getting to work with my awesome agent and amazing editor on this book. I love my main character so much, and I’m thrilled that she’s in such good hands.

    Big congrats, Allie!

If the story you placed in The Summerset Review is any indication, this is a terrific novel.

Today is National Drink Wine day, and while I cert Today is National Drink Wine day, and while I certainly appreciate the art that is a good glass of wine, I am unfortunately one of those people who turns wine into headaches. (I swear it started post-appendectomy and someday we’ll discover THAT’S what your appendix is for!) But I do love the social aspect of chatting over a drink that feels special and I love getting to use these huge green goblets I’ve had since my first apartment. So, when I chat with book clubs or zoom into happy hours, I’m usually drinking some kind of elaborate cranberry juice concoction, (or straight up apple juice like a party animal). Break out your fancy glasses and celebrate with whatever you’re drinking. Sometimes we need a little cheer in whatever form works for us. #nationalwineday #cheers #bookstagram #bookclubs #bookclubsofinstagram
