It took me a gazillion years to choose an author photo for my new book, because @helennamsantos took so many amazing pictures when we met up for our photo shoot adventure and every single one seemed to tell a story. But this one in particular feels like the right match for my new story. I also think it reflects who I am now. No touch ups. No filters. Just me, at 47, settled into my skin, a heck of a lot stronger than I used to be. #authorsofinstagram
