On WXXI News Connections with Evan Dawson

So thankful to Evan Dawson for taking this time to talk with Rochester ex-pats about the California wildfires. You can listen here. I’m on just after the five minute mark, and I encourage you to listen to the whole episode. Hearing Alison Konecki & Alex Wegman‘s first person accounts of their experiences is extremely powerful. And as an environmental social scientist, Joseph Henderson brings valuable, thoughtful perspective to the discussion.

WHY CAN’T I BE YOU is on Sale Through 10/19!

My second novel, WHY CAN’T I BE YOU has a brand new cover! And, it’s a BookBub Deal, priced at $1.99 in all ebook formats through 10/19.

If you haven’t read it yet, this is the best time to grab an ebook. If you have, can you help me spread the word by recommending WHY CAN’T I BE YOU to a friend? Most ebook formats even let you buy a gift code to pass the book along as a surprise!

This book is a story of finding self and connection by pretending to be someone else. It’s also full of fun and pop culture and friendship and love.

I hope you enjoy WHY CAN’T I BE YOU! I poured my heart into this book and I’d love to know it’s connecting with your heart too.

3Ws – Margaret Dilloway

What do you create?

I write family dramas with strong female characters that usually explore what it means to be biracial (i.e. women’s fiction). I’ve also got a middle-grade fantasy series coming out in the spring that puts a twist on the Japanese folk tales my mother told me, told from the POV of a snarky 12-year-old-boy (at last finding a good use for my treasure chest of fart jokes).

Why do you create?

I’ve always written to figure out how I feel about things, and to entertain myself and others. It’s like I can’t process my emotions until I write about them. So I’m a lot happier when I write.

What do you consume?

Movies, plays, TV shows, books, music, art, and a lot of water– it’s awfully hot here.
