Argo passed away on Tuesday afternoon.  Jeremy, Stella and I cuddled with him to the very end. We loved him fiercely.

    Oh, Allie. I’m so sorry.

We lost our family dog just before Thanksgiving. I told Emma that she was probably licking her predecessor somewhere right now. I suspect that she’s trying desperately to do the same to Argo. She was a licker.

I never met Argo, but I sure felt like I had. Your love for him transcended the boundaries of distance, and print, and pixels. I know it will cross any other barrier between the two of you.

    xoxo

Sending you and your family (furry and otherwise) peace combined with all the memories of your time with Argo. He was obviously loved so much and I grieve with you.

Allie- I’m truly very sorry. If all of us who never knew Argo personally saw only a glimpse of how much you loved him, then I can only imagine how much love Argo knew and experienced throughout his life. No matter how much, or how little, there is never enough time with them.

    Allie,

I am sorry for your loss. We have a 10 year old German Shepherd, Callie. So dreading the days you are having. Argo was surely a lucky dog to have such a loving home. And you certainly are a lucky family to have had him. I hope your memories will comfort you. My thoughts are with you.

Aw, Allie…..so very, very sorry to hear about Argo. They just don’t live long enough, do they? What a special dog and what a wonderful life he lived. Here’s hoping you take comfort in the memories, pictures, stories and mementos. If you haven’t already read it, might I suggest “Dog Heaven” by Cynthia Rylant? I do believe that our beloved pets wait for us on the other side. Hugs to you……
